High5Collective: Visual Artists of Tomorrow

H5C, better known as High5Collective, is a 5-person team of visual artists(music videos) based out of Los Angeles, California. Their videos can be classified as obscure or even demented, but one thing is for sure, they are amazing at what they do. Their visuals aren't like your regular music visual. No musician or band needed. Interesting characters and ironic story lines make myself and thousands of others intrigued and wanting more. One of their most controversial pieces was for Tyler the Creator's record "Transylvania", Yvynyl, a music & art blog, wrote,

It’s fearless. It’s depraved. It’s disgusting. But wow, it’s good in the same way that Harmony Korine’s film Kids is good… there is definitive value to having a strong visceral reaction to art. It makes you question things. It makes you draw lines around your own values. It challenges you to define your right and wrong. It is invigorating. Or maybe, it really is just trash. Either way, this is bottom of the barrel in all the best ways possible.”

Today 09/06/2011, H5C released a a visual for Watch The Throne Intro "No Church in the Wild." The concept shows the idea of a white man being tortured and treated as a slave. A powerful idea that will have people talking for the weeks to come. This is an unofficial video that was put together by High5Collective and in no way is Kanye West or Jay-Z actually a part of this. Once they see it they wish they were.
