Fireflies in the Garden Movie Trailer and Pre-Review

We are not strangers to those situations in which we feel as though we are helpless. It is always easier to forget all the while knowing the ultimate outcome will be to our demise. Although it may seem easy to forgive and forget it's not always doable given certain circumstances. Like for example there's a guy beating your mom, you try to help but she appears to be happy so you build this barrier to negate the fact and hide the truth. We all know what this leads to but I still believe it's worth watching on the big screen, so with that said I present to you... Fireflies in the Garden.

This movie was originally premiered at the Berlin Film Festival in 2008. It was released to theaters and DVD everywhere except for here in America. Why I don't know, hopefully soon enough I'll have a job where I do get to know this. :-) [smiley face contact me people] However, now it's time we get to see, I guess we are off timeout.

This movie centers around a family with such issues mentioned above who unexpectedly are dealt a tragedy. Seeming as though everything is alright leading up to this tragedy, the oldest son Michael played by Ryan Reynolds announces that he will write a memoir about his mother Lisa Taylor's(Julia Roberts) life. Knowing what's been going on Lisa's sister Jane(Emily Watson)starts to worry that this will bring out some ultimate surprise secret that the whole family will flip out over. From what I hear this secret is supposed to make everyone's happy past not so happy anymore, ruh roh. Someone's in the dog pounddddd - maybe. In lieu of the memoir Michael has seen his father Charlie(Willem Dafoe) get into physical altercations with his mom. Maybe this will be the secret that come's out. Daddy used to hit mama and if you didn't know Pow you do now. Hehe

I will more than likely be first in line to see this movie because Willem Dafoe was a beast in Platoon and in Born of the Fourth of July. He still is a beast.

Julia Roberts is the Queen of acting and she is one the most naturally beautiful women ever, she to me is like the Caucasian Halle Berry. (looks wise people come on) Supple to any given role with the ability to amaze and dazzle even the most unworthy film critic. Julia, will you marry me? I already know that you will do fantastic in this movie, regardless the outcome.

Ryan Reynolds looks amazing in his role. Is it me or doe's most of his new roles seem to be taking  a more serious route. I mean since Buried and Green Lantern I have noticed a trend and even in The Change-Up he takes on the more mature serious role. Some may say well his role was actually the funny one just being played by Jason Bateman, Nooo people that's Jason Bateman doing a superb job and Reynolds continuing his rise to be the seriousness master. Ok, wait so he actually has about five movies coming out between the next three years and all but one look to be comedies, with that said I'm glad to have more comedies worth my theater money. Thanks Ryan.

The rest of the cast is star studded by many means I mean we have Hayden Panettiere who is another one of the worlds most beautiful women. I would marry her. I would marry all the beautiful women. Hehe Emily Watson blesses the screen with her style and grace, Carrie-Anne Moss isn't kicking butts like she was in the Matrix but she's kicking butt with her lines. Ioan Gruffudd and Shannon Lucio round out the top names on this list but the rest are definitely #nextinshow
