Today is a big day for the Odd Future collective. First it marks the day for the new release of MellowHype's new project Numbers, but also is the release of OF's first signee band Trash Talk's 4th studio album release 119.
To celebrate the family threw an afternoon party which conveniently was scheduled to start at 1:19pm. Still unclear as to the significance of 119, but I'm sure it's deep.
The album 119, is a definite cop. I have never been into hardcore, but Trash Talk seems to understand me. Odd Future bosses Tyler, The Creator and Hodgy Beats make a guest appearance, which fits nice on Blossom & Burn. Lots of energy is brought to you by the band. In just over 20 minutes, 119 is an easy and entertaining listen.
MellowHype also released their newest and long awaited project Numbers. Hodgy Beats fills up the records with catchy hooks and down to earth raps. Another artist who's words I can relate to. Numbers also includes features from Frank Ocean, Mike G and Earl Sweatshirt. Tyler also guest produces on the downtempo record 666. The party was held in the back of Odd Futures highly successful flagship shop on Fairfax in Los Angeles. BBQ was included and party favors were provided. Go support these young ARTist now.
