Soooo many people have recently decided to discuss the topic at hand. What is the Dubstep and what the hell is it made of? Well we've decided to provide you with our insight on the matter. We've listened to and have read what people have said and we have provided you with some examples and explanations. Please, please provide your comments and feedback because this question HAS TO BE ANSWERED. To each their own - just enjoy the music.

Known to many as the Who is Bob? Bob Who? Bob whopwhopwhopwhopwhop genre of electro. Originated in London. A risky genre to make your DJ name in as (some) feel as though there are no vast differences between one Dubstep song and three others on a playlist of ten songs. I beg to differ however, there are noticeable differences. One aspect of Dubstep is of course cutting samples and adding unique lyrics, shall one choose to, but that is the territory. So yeah, choose a sample wisely and you could have yourself a hit.

Dubstep mixes are usually 141bpm sub-bass lines following the four-to-the-floor pattern and played with usually a kick drum, snare drum and hi hat with a half time tempo of 71bpm. Bliss. Also famous is the infamous bass drop in which you feel relieved of life, whatever that means. In Dubstep the bass drop is the oft appreciated whobwhobwhob bass line and the white noise we love. The more bass drops the better chances your song will make it to the club and the greater chances of reaching a broader audience in the newly found insurgence of Dubstep music in other genres such as hip hop. Also doing the vocal work are many Dubstep Djs themselves, just a line or two to compliment the real artist at the live show, the music itself. Dubstep is the "Heavy Metal" of Electro.

Much more can be said about Dubstep but if you are looking to create or attempt your own track this is simple information. As long as you know your definitions and have a great mind on what good music is then go ahead and create it. Many have used main stream songs and remixed them to be Dubstep greats.

1 COMMENT NOW OK!:

Dub Step is the new, drum and bass, electro, house, techno and even hip hop, all rolled into one. Downloading a song and listening to dub-step does not do it justice. In order to feel the full effect of its power and awe and all round fuking illness you must go to the nightclub. The he drops are epic the high pitch electro sounds are frightening and the slow dub-step base is so grim it will make you screw face(melt)in disgust as its energy and perfection
