Fresh off of tour, and busy collaborating with pretty much everyone in the music business, Gilbere Forte doesn't seem like he slowing down anytime soon.
Polica's music is hauntingly smooth. Their debut album Give You The Ghost is something you must experience. The group is formed in Minneapolis, Minnesota and members include founders Ryan Olson + Channy Leaneagh as well as Chris Bierden, Ben Ivascu and Drew Christopherson. Pitchork filmed a Documentary on the american indie band.
Cory and Topanga, Shawn, Eric and of course Mr. Feeney were all household names in with every kid in the 90's (1993-2000). Disney Channel'sBoy Meet's World was an epic television program that instilled good morals and much understanding in any kid/teens life. Looking back now, as I am 26, the world just isn't that perfect and safe in reality.
But besides that, Disney has finally confirmed what everyone was hoping for, which is a Boy Meets World comeback. All we know right now is that the show will be some sort of spin-off idea with Ben Savage (Corey) and Danielle Fishel (Topanga) as adults, maybe married as parents. Don't know of the other actors involvements yet. The idea sounds like Girl Meets World, which sounds pretty cliche, but we will give them the benefit of the doubt for now. Stay Tuned.
OK, so there is a lot of hype about the movie John Carter coming out soon. The graphics and the action are enough for me to go see it and I would think the current trailers would entice enough to go. However, I sense there may be some insecurities over at Disney because they have now released the first 10 minutes of the movie. Yes, they released the first 10 minutes. Sort of like the whole don't judge a book by it's cover saying - doesn't actually persuade people to read I'd assume that this wouldn't change any minds. Though if minds we changed I'd think people would decide NOT to go if they were to make any decision at all, because if they're going they're going regardless. I definitely recommend paying the money to go see this beast.
Here's from the Hollywood honchos themselves:
From Academy Award®--winning filmmaker Andrew Stanton comes "John Carter"—a sweeping action-adventure set on the mysterious and exotic planet of Barsoom (Mars). "John Carter" is based on a classic novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs, whose highly imaginative adventures served as inspiration for many filmmakers, both past and present. The film tells the story of war-weary, former military captain John Carter (Taylor Kitsch), who is inexplicably transported to Mars where he becomes reluctantly embroiled in a conflict of epic proportions amongst the inhabitants of the planet, including Tars Tarkas (Willem Dafoe) and the captivating Princess Dejah Thoris (Lynn Collins). In a world on the brink of collapse, Carter rediscovers his humanity when he realizes that the survival of Barsoom and its people rests in his hands.
Tim Burton is back at it again and by again we mean back at an older project he did in 1984. The Disney Pictures film is about the young Victor Frankenstein who's lost his best friend Sparky the dog. In an effort to bring his buddy back to life he conducts an experiment that you'll have to wait and see. The results could be what you thought or it could be something new and more powerful than expected for a Disney Pictures film. With films like John Carter set to release soon I see Disney Pictures on a spiral up towards viewer success in the older age groups where they'll see not only adults with kid sales but groups of adults also. Either way you'll be the judge fr yourself but I like where they are headed. Watch the trailer below for Frankenweenie. @uwantleroyslife
